For those of you who think online church is not a threat to real, incarnational ministry, check this out: http://gnli.christianpost.com/video/chuch-online-in-philadelphia-lifefilm-3607. Then re-read my critique of online "church" at http://gnli.christianpost.com/video/chuch-online-in-philadelphia-lifefilm-3607, and my discussion of 7 church ministry models at http://www.retrochristianity.org/2012/02/13/7-church-ministry-models-from-ideal-to-awful/.
In the onslaught of docetic "anti-church," we need to arm ourselves.
Thanks, Matthew, for the link.

Are referring to the youtube video "The Three Types of Churches" I sent you?
Not directly. I think I formulated my 7 church ministry model before seeing that, but the ideas fit. I'm not alone in my critique/evaluations...

Just wondering. I noticed I sent you that video a few days before this post. Sadly I used to be one of those kids that rejected the historical/traditional church for something "new" and more "relevant" but fortunately I've moved away from that. Your classes have helped a lot too.
While this may be slightly off topic it may have relevance. I live in Australia which these days doesn't sever you from the rest of the world...especially those churches in USA that are "high tech". More recently a church had a visiting pastor who asked the congregation to turn in their Bibles...which only the odd person had bought, as they were so use to overheads/video screens. The recorded video of the message had "the pastor's cut" which included additional material not covered at the end. Then there was the ability of the congregation to text questions during the message, to be answered at the end. While I attend a Baptist church in Australia (very deep south!), after seeing this I am feeling very Amish ;-).... surely Heaven has a website.
Yes Michael, your parchment, I mean book (RetroChristianity), made it to Australia. It has been for me a truly great read. Unfortunately it was on a $7 markdown table (you will have to come and do a promotional tour)so I purchased both remaining copies to pass onto interested friends.
Many thanks.
